Friendly Competition Between Illinois & Wisconsin is Brewing

Free Border War Beer Fest Preview Wednesday, June 14

A special preview of the second annual Border War Beer Fest will be held at 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, at Waterfront Warehouse, 3322 Sheridan Road, Kenosha.

The real fest is set for Aug. 5 in downtown Kenosha.

At the preview, the lineup of craft beer brewers participating in the fest from Illinois and Wisconsin will be announced. The border war is a friendly competition between the two states to determine which has better brews. The announcement will be broadcast live on the Border War Beer Fest Facebook page.

The preview is free. Those attending the preview party will get to meet the brewers, receive tickets and swag giveaways, and to enjoy food and beer specials.

The Border War Beer Fest is being sponsored by Brew Fest Partners in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha. More than 30 Illinois and Wisconsin craft brewers are expected to participate in the fest which will feature live music, games and tournaments.

Guests are encouraged to wear their team apparel to represent their state, vote for their favorite bear in the people’s choice competition.
