Waukegan High School Students Selected to Tech Honor Society

More than a dozen Waukegan High School students were recently accepted into the Lake County Technology Campus’ Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society.

A total of 16 WHS students were accepted into the Technical Honor Society based on strenuous criteria, which includes maintaining a 3.66 GPA in technical classes and obtaining a nomination from their instructor. Nominees must have consistently demonstrated leadership, honesty, and pride in skilled craftsmanship, and also have set career goals for the future.

As inductees, they received a special certificate, tassel and information on applying for scholarships as a NTHS member.

The National Technical Honor Society currently serves approximately 100,000 active members and nearly a million since its inception in 1984. NTHS honors the achievements of top Career and Technical Education students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce.
