Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. owned by local entrepreneurs the Khayat’s, opened today, Feb. 8 at the Gurnee Mills outlet mall.
The eatery joins other new businesses that opened at the largest shopping destination in Chicagoland recently. Gelato Mio and Burger King which will have sites in the Dine-O-Rama Food Court are slated to open this year.
Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. will donate one dollar from the sale of every Blue Devil Brownie Sundae to Warren Township High School in Gurnee.
Elizabeth Striegel, director of marketing and business development for the mall said she is “thrilled” to add the new restaurant the Gurnee Mills’ dining offerings. “Our shoppers don’t only come to Gurnee Mills to shop the retail stores, but also to enjoy the variety of dining and entertainment options we have to offer and Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. is a wonderful new addition.”
Located by entrance A, between Sears Grand and Marcus Cinemas, the new pizzeria and Italian dining spot will provide shoppers and locals with a tasty option for classics and Chicago favorites. The restaurant offers sleek decor for group dining, and there is an outdoor seating area for the warmer months.
Nicole Khayat, president of Khayat Enterprises, said Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. will donate one dollar from the sale of every Blue Devil Brownie Sundae to Warren Township High School in Gurnee. Also, 100 percent of the proceeds from the Casamigos Tequila sales will be donated to Not On Our Watch, an international relief and humanitarian aid organization. Both donation periods are indefinite.
Gurnee Mills’ original food court, Dine-O-Rama, remains open while construction is underway for Burger King and Gelato Mio.
