Quincy C. Ray, 36, of unincorporated Gurnee, a registered sexual predator with two active arrest warrants, has been apprehended in Ohio pending an extradition hearing, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
He was previously arrested in November for violating sex offender registry and failing to report an address change. An arrest warrant was issued on Jan. 9 for failing to appear in court on an arrest warrant with a $500,000 bond.
Subsequently, the sheriff’s office and U.S. Marshals Service’s Great Lake Regional Fugitive Task Force attempted to track him down in a joint effort and found he had fled to Ohio.
On Jan. 25, the U.S. Marshals’ Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team located the suspect as he was leaving a mall in Cincinnati. He was arrested without incident and is being held in Hamilton County in Ohio for an extradition hearing.
