Lights at park valued at $1,600 damaged
Lake County Crime Stoppers and the Winthrop Harbor Police Department are seeking assistance with information related to the criminal damage of property that occurred at the Schlader Building in Winthrop Harbor.
The village park district structure which is located at 2700 9th Street in 38 Acre Park, was vandalized sometime between Nov. 18 and Nov. 22.
According to police, unknown subject(s) damaged and broke a solar powered “flame” on the VFW Memorial and two lights used to light the memorial flagpoles at the park.
The estimated damage amount totals approximately $1,600.
